Collection: Natural probiotics and gut support for dogs
Looking for natural probiotics for dogs? I’m Jessica, a certified professional canine nutritionist and holistic pet health coach, and for a long time I didn’t recommend probiotics broadly. Too many are a capsule of bacteria with a nice label. I leaned on food instead, like raw goat’s milk, which is still a staple in my own dogs’ bowls.
That changed when I came across Green Juju. Their three probiotics, Soil, Farm and Leaf, are each grown on a different food base. I tried them with my own pets, myself and client pets before I put my name on them.
This collection also holds the other gut support I carry, including Totoniks. If you’d rather know what’s going on in there before you buy anything, start with an at-home gut test, or book a consult and we’ll pick together. Wellness support, not medical advice. We’re happy to collaborate with your veterinarian.
Why I start with the gut
When I look at a dog, I check the bowl and the environment first. The gut sits right in the middle of both, because it’s where food actually meets your dog. Loose stools, gas, picky eating and itchy skin can all lead back there, so I look at the whole picture before adding anything.

What the Green Juju study looked at
Green Juju partnered with Innovative Pet Lab on a clinical study of the Soil probiotic. It looked at canine gut health biomarkers and owner-reported symptoms. Read the full blog post covering the Green Juju Soil probiotic study here.
A dog’s family tells it best
“Following your advice to transition Aussie to Green Juju freeze-dried food options, incorporate Green Juju goat milk, and replace his daily yogurt with Adored Beast colostrum has made an incredible difference in his health… He looks noticeably healthier, has more energy, and is much more active overall.”

Questions I get about dog probiotics
Do dogs need a probiotic?
Not every dog does, and I don’t hand them out by default. If your dog’s digestion is steady, the bowl may already be doing the job. If stools are unpredictable or you’ve just had a rough stretch (a diet change, a stressful week), it’s worth a conversation.
What’s the difference between a food-based probiotic and a capsule?
Food-based probiotics are grown on a food, like the Green Juju line, which uses a different food base for each of its three. I prefer them because they look more like what dogs would eat in nature. Capsules can be fine too. I just ask what’s in them and what your dog actually needs.
Which Green Juju probiotic should I pick?
Soil, Farm and Leaf each use a different food base. If you’re stuck, book a single consult ($77) and we’ll go through your dog’s diet and history together.
Can I add a probiotic to a raw diet?
Many of my clients do, and raw goat’s milk is a favorite in my own house. Start small and add one thing at a time so you can tell what’s helping. My ReWild feeding approach walks through how I build the bowl.
Is a gut test worth it first?
It can be, especially if you’ve tried a few things and aren’t sure what’s going on. Our AnimalBiome and Innovative Pet Lab kits look at your dog’s gut. I can walk you through the results with a recorded report review.
Can probiotics replace veterinary care?
No. Everything here is wellness support. If your dog has bloody stools, vomiting, or goes off their food, call your vet first. I’m happy to work alongside them.
